More About Aurora

Aurora is the third largest city in the state of Colorado. It’s well known for the cultural diversity of its food, artistic venues, outdoor recreation areas and relaxing atmosphere. Aurora has everything the physically active person needs from golf and softball to sailing and fishing.  Until recently, Aurora has long been in the shadow of Denver, but this is changing as the city takes on a recognition all its own.

Aurora has a strong cultural theme running through the city, which includes the fine arts, dance, pottery arts and music.  Aurora is proud to host a yearly summer concert series that includes innovative concerts in the park.  The Aurora History Museum is a great venue to learn all about the city with exhibits chronicling its unique culture and history. If you love art, you’ll warm up to the many art exhibits around town which help create the city’s overall aesthetic character.

Sports fans are always in close proximity to the Denver Broncos, Nuggets and Rockies games.  And there are always a host of other sports and leisure activities including dog training, golfing, tennis, cooking, fitness and swimming.  And if you enjoy hiking along newly discovered trails, there are mile and miles of biking and hiking trails the entire family can experience and enjoy. Two reservoirs offer people additional opportunities to bike, wind sail or just enjoy the picturesque surroundings.

If you’re into the night life, you’ll enjoy the many ethnically diverse dining venues of more than 100 unique restaurants.  In Denver, young developing chefs are becoming well known for developing eclectic dining experiences.  And there’s no shortage either of bars and clubs for those who like to add a little spice to their evening adventures.
